Did you know that 10% of the purchase price can be refunded for first-class appliances? KEPCO is conducting a project to support the purchase cost of high-efficiency home appliances.

The following are eligible for a refund of 10% of the purchase cost of Class 1 home appliances.

Persons with disabilities (disabled persons with severe disabilities under the Disability Welfare Act, existing grades 1-3), persons of merit (levels 1-3 of national merit, persons of disability grade 1-3, persons of national merit or one bereaved person), recipients of basic livelihood security (living medical benefits) Recipients, recipients of residential education benefits, recipients of basic livelihood benefits using residential late-night electricity)
Social welfare facilities (facility reported under the Social Welfare Service Act or 27 related laws), the next upper class (National Basic Livelihood Security Act, Welfare for Persons with Disabilities Act, National Health Insurance Act, Single-parent Family Support Act),
Households with 3 or more children (households with 3 or more children or 3 or more children), large families (households with 5 or more members), maternity households (households containing infants less than 3 years old), life support devices (oxygen generators, artificial respiratory users).
Class 1 home appliance refund limit
Refunds for the purchase of first-class home appliances can be refunded up to KRW 300,000 within the period based on the date the budget is exhausted. You can receive all 300,000 won with just one appliance, or you can apply for multiple appliances.
For example, for a refrigerator worth 3.5 million won, you can get a refund of 300,000 won, and for an air conditioner worth 1.8 million won, you get a refund of 180,000 won, leaving a balance of 120,000 won.

Refrigerator, kimchi refrigerator, air conditioner (wall-mounted / others (grade 1-3, excluding system air conditioner)), washing machine (drum / general grade 1-2), hot/cold water dispenser (storage type / direct water type), rice cooker, vacuum cleaner (wired 1- Grade 3), air purifier, TV, dehumidifier, and clothes dryer (styler) are supported products.

2. Membership registration
Please sign up as a member first. If you are already a member, please log in.

3. Target confirmation
To check the target person, click the business application at the top of the main screen of the homepage and proceed to the target person confirmation. Enter the welfare category, householder’s name, and resident registration number, then search.

4. Account Registration
After checking, if you are eligible for the support project, you can move to the account registration screen. Please register the account number to receive the refund. For the account to be refunded, please enter the account number of the applicant, not the head of household.

5. Business application
If you have completed account registration, please apply for a refund. If you are the head of the household, proceed with the application of the person eligible for the welfare discount, and if a family member other than the head of household applies, proceed with the application of the household member.
Please note that a family relationship certificate is required at this time.

6. Check application details
If the application is completed after collecting and agreeing to personal information, please check the application details again.

Documents to be submitted
Submission documents that must be attached include a photo of the product label (required to indicate energy consumption efficiency level, application reference date), and a photo of the product nameplate (required to indicate product model name and serial number)
A transaction statement (confirmation of matching buyer and head of household or applicant name, model name required), receipt (credit card sales slip, cash receipt) are required.
